Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic Associate - Liquids
Reporting into Title: Maintenance Manager
Business and Department: Liquids Maintenance
Position Purpose/Summary: Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of Blending, Filling and Packaging equipment and other industrial machinery, such as conveying systems, production machinery. Maintenance Mechanics install, dismantle, repair, reassemble, and move machinery in the manufacturing facility.

All duties as assigned and the following specific activities.
- Provide troubleshooting, diagnostic evaluation, and repair of liquid filling equipment.
- Perform maintenance, service & repairs, and is responsible for performing scheduled preventive maintenance of liquid fillers, pumps, conveyors, and coding equipment.
- Troubleshoot and Repair Blenders and Filling/Packaging Machines.
- Attend and participate in all required staff functions including but not limited to Safety Committee Meetings, “5 minute Meetings”, & leadership development meetings

Promote safety by abiding by all related policies and procedures and set a good example for others

Hazardous Material Handling
- Follow Procedures and go through Initial and Annual Training
- Communicate with Maintenance Coordinator to Identify and properly label Hazardous Waste

Place Waste Printer Ink in the properly identified Hazardous Waste container and store on containment in satellite waste area.

Knowledge-Skills-Abilities
Education:
-
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
-
Technical Degree or equivalent educational/military experience preferred.
Experience:
-
Must have direct 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic with Industrial Machinery.

5 or more years’ experience in equipment repair.
-
Mechanical Skills including: Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Pumps, Bearings, Chains and Belting, Conveying Systems, Valves and Mechanical Troubleshooting.

Electrical Skills including: Basic Electricity, Volt Meter and Amp Probe, AC/DC Motors and Control Systems, Basic Schematic Reading, Basic PLC Knowledge and Electrical Troubleshooting.

Machine Shop Skills including: Welding and Fabrication.
Communication:

Able to read and write English

Bilingual Spanish and English is preferred.

Effective at building quick interpersonal rapport and trust

Ability to write and speak clearly.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. on occasion

This position is very active and requires standing, walking bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day (including climbing ladders)

Regular and constant use of finger, hand, wrist, arm and shoulder.

Work environment is a warehouse floor with many noises, beeping, and other mechanical device

Able to see properly so as to fulfill expectations of position
