Your Role:
The Tax team in Torrance is seeking a Tax Manager to lead the completion of all client tax returns. This role involves maintaining strong client relationships, overseeing tax initiatives and planning strategies, and inspiring and leading tax professionals.
What will you do?
- Review and sign various tax returns, including multi-state returns.
- Correspond with state and federal government agencies regarding tax notifications.
- Provide guidance and support to tax staff and team members.
- Assist with document gathering efforts for audits.
- Ensure timely completion and filing of tax returns and relevant filings.
- Identify and research tax issues and mentor staff.
- Attend client meetings with Partners to manage client relationships.
- Work extended hours as needed.
What Do you Need to Succeed:
- In-depth knowledge of tax concepts and regulations.
- Strong working knowledge of tax return workflow.
- Ability to analyze and resolve issues, perform research, and implement tax advice.
- Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to perform under deadlines.
- Proficiency with CCH Axcess/ProSystem and Microsoft applications.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Friendly and professional demeanor, ability to work well with a team.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant preferred.
- 5+ years of experience leading a team of tax professionals.
- 7+ years of related tax experience at a public accounting firm or family office.
- Extensive experience with real estate and partnership tax compliance and consulting preferred.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
