Job Summary
Responsible for inspecting and testing raw materials and products to verify they meet required levels of quality; reviewing process monitoring and quality records for compliance with requirements; and releasing finished product for distribution. Take daily direction from the plant manager with regard to customer fulfillment priorities and needs.
Core Responsibilities
Maintain the Quality System document binder to ensure it is complete and current.
Receive sterilization raw materials (bags, liquid Ethylene Oxide, biological indicators) and release to inventory or direct use if conforming to requirements. Notify plant manager of non-conforming conditions.
Review temperature and humidity charts daily. Notify plant manager of non-conforming conditions. Change out charts at specified times.
Review weekly cleaning records. Approve if complete and conforming to requirements.
Review kit production work order records. Approve if complete and conforming to requirements.
Put biological indicators on test, take off test, evaluate and record results.
Review sterilization lot records. Approve if complete and conforming to requirements.
Release finished product for distribution as appropriate. Exercise authority to withhold approval to release product pending quality issues.
Assist in the investigation of non-conforming product and customer complaints.
Assist with ensuring that all quality procedures are followed in the production of product.
Assist Corporate Quality with quality issues at the facility level.
Qualifying Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Must have experience in quality from a regulated industry, medical, automotive, food, or aerospace.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products i.e. email, word, excel, etc
Strong communication skills orally & written
