Job Summary:
The Media Asset Management Back-Office Support Technician provides back office infrastructure support for the KEXP Media Library and Archives system Galaxy5 produced by Dalet. They are responsible for patching, troubleshooting, tuning, and maintaining the virtual infrastructure necessary to support the databases, servers, digital storage, and authentication functionalities for the media library archive.
The technician works closely with the Media Asset Manager and Technical Operations under the supervision of the Chief Engineer. 2.
Scope of Work: 2.1. System Operations and Maintenance 2.1.1. Patch, troubleshoot, and tune the Dalet Galaxy5 MAM system to ensure optimal performance. 2.1.2. Enable preservation of and access to over 400+ terabytes of audio assets, 10,000 hours of video assets, and 150,000 photographs. 2.1.3. Support transition to a new MAM system when required. 2.2. Infrastructure Configuration and Optimization 2.2.1. Consult with Technical Operations to configure and tune virtual server environments, including compute infrastructure, RAM, digital storage, and network connectivity. 2.2.2. Provide operating system level configuration, tuning, and maintenance advice to Technical Operations to meet platform requirements. 2.2.3. Coordinate with Technical Operations to apply security patches and perform platform / server upgrades, including major version upgrades and client workstation maintenance. 2.2.4.
Work with Technical Operations to perform the same for a replacement MAM, playout, and workflow system. 2.3. Day-to-Day Support 2.3.1. Support day-to-day MAM operations, resolve user tickets, and troubleshoot issues. 2.3.2. Optimize web client performance and manage platform client application upgrades. 2.4. Integration and Collaboration 2.4.1. Coordinate with appropriate technical and business leads to Implement and maintain MAM integrations, including storage systems, search platforms, audio-over-IP networks, broadcast playout automation, and video publishing platforms. 2.4.2.
Work collaboratively with Technical Operations, Software Development, and MAM vendors to troubleshoot technical and integration issues. 2.5. Security and Compliance 2.5.1. Research and advise on security plans for digital and physical collections. 2.5.2. Ensure compliance with organizational standards around media containers, codecs, and metadata.

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
