Inspector
It is your responsibility to complete inspection and acceptance of fiber deployment and associated construction activities for any OSP project that has been assigned to you, whether the project is aerial or underground. Compliance with and adherence to the terms and specifications of the contract are the responsibilities of this role. Among these obligations is the maintenance of project documentation in accordance with the requirements. The candidate will successfully meet or surpass the targets set for the business unit while also adhering to quality standards, keeping expenses under control, and following company and business directions and procedures.
- Monitor the activities of the subcontractors working on the project, as well as the construction itself, and inspect the quality of the workmanship as it relates to conformity with the customer-provided plans and specifications.
- Be familiar with quality standards and practices and commit to adhering to them.
- Be responsible for coordinating and documenting directional drill bore profiles with the subcontractor.
- Produce the redline construction drawings for areas where inspections have been carried out, record the as-built units and routing, and ensure that any necessary corrections are kept up to date in the relevant documentation.
- You are responsible for maintaining the necessary project inspection forms and submitting the results to the project manager on a weekly basis.
- Follow the project manager's instructions for how to participate in acceptance testing.
- Ensure that all suppliers are complying with the most recent state and federal safety rules where applicable.
Competencies Needed
- Capability of effectively using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) in order to satisfy the requirements of the role. • Capability of effectively operating an iPad and a laptop in order to fulfill the requirements of the position. • Capability of accessing and utilizing web-based programs for time reporting, expense reimbursement, and other needs associated with the role. Essential Prior Experience
- It is preferable that applicants have previous experience checking OSP (outside plant construction).
- Prior experience in the field of telecommunications is required, along with a minimum of three years' worth of relevant OSP inspection experience and/or training (recommended).

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
