Full job description
CCRJ has an immediate opening for a Law Office Administrator/Manager to manage a mid-sized litigation law firm. Prior experience working in an administrative and/or managerial role at a litigation firm is preferred. See below for more details regarding the position.
Duties & Responsibilities
Hiring/Training
- Develops/posts job listings;
- Assists in hiring;
- Schedules interviews;
- Onboards new staff;
- Trains new staff regarding firm procedures and systems;
Administrative
- Manages day-to-day operations;
- Manages equipment, office services, and facilities;
- Coordinates with IT, marketing, and other vendors;
- Meets with Partners to discuss firm issues and upcoming events;
- Oversees updates to computers, printers, and software licenses;
- Coordinates meetings and events;
- Support team members with additional administrative tasks as needed.
Staff Management
- Managers and supervises the work of non-attorney employees;
- Conducts constructive performance evaluations;
- Coordinates attorney performance evaluations;
- Handles discipline as needed and in accordance with company policy;
Financial
- Oversees / coordinates salaries and benefits;
- Works with bookkeeper and CPA to manage firm financials;
- Develop/monitor firm budget;
- Participates in strategic planning process to identify and accomplish short and long-term organizational goals;
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and proficiency in accounting/bookkeeping;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Works well under pressure;
- Ability to multi-task, organize work-flow and use time efficiently;
- Exceptional analytical skills;
- Flexibility to adapt to all situations.
Background, Qualifications & Experience

- Experience with case management systems;

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office;

- Maintain effective relationships across all levels of the firm;
- Works well under pressure to meet deadlines;
- Proficient with Quick Books;
- Previous experience with COLTAF required;
- Previous experience with 401k administration preferred;
Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year depending on experience
Experience:
- Administrative / managerial / supervisory: 3 years
- Previous law firm experience: 3 years
