Overview
Seeking a hard-working candidate who thrives in a fast paced production
environment assisting in preparation of high quality airline meals in accordance with
company standards, menu specifications and production schedules. Additionally, this
candidate needs to engage in all safety & performance initiatives.
Food Production:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to execute menus that meet customer preferences and seasonal availability
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Past experience in Asian/Japanese cuisine is preferred.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and practices- Familiarity with sautéing, cutting/chopping, kitchen tools, etc- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
