Medical Assistants play an important roll in the delivery of healthcare. The Medical Assistant will perform delegated routine clinical duties within the supervising practitioner's scope of practice, assist healthcare providers in the delivery of patient care in the primary care setting, interact with patients and their family, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate well with patients and co-workers. We are actively looking for the perfect candidate to join our healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Room patients
- Take vital signs and record them correctly in the electronic medical records system
- Review medications and update the chart as appropriate
- Provide a brief description of the purpose of the visit
- Review of systems
- Update social history, medical history, surgical history
- Offer and/or coordinate preventative services
- Assist the providers with examinations and procedures
- Administer injections and vaccines
- Coordinate patient care with other departments (medical records, referrals, etc.)
- Clean and prepare the exam room between patients
- Clean medical instruments as needed
- Notifying patients with test results as instructed by the provider
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be able to spell basic health words
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Certified as a medical assistance (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
