The Improv/Levity Live is seeking an entertainment industry professional to join our booking team!
We are seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Comedy Booking Coordinator. This role will primarily involve assisting in the coordination of comedy shows, booking support acts, contract administration duties, and building of shows on ticketing platform. The ideal candidate will have a passion for comedy, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Support Act Coordination: Coordinate with comedians and their management teams to book support acts for comedy shows. This involves confirming availability, and ensuring all necessary details are in place for their performance.
- Contract Administration: Manage contracts and agreements with comedian representation, support acts, venues, and other stakeholders. Ensure all contracts are accurately prepared, reviewed, and executed in a timely manner, adhering to company policies and legal requirements.
- Ticket Sales: Assist in the process of putting comedy shows up for sale, including ticket prices, managing ticket inventory, and coordinating with comic representation and internal marketing team to ensure a smooth sales process.
- Artist Relations: Serve as a liaison between departments, venues, marketers, comedians, support acts, and other artists involved in comedy shows. Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure a positive experience for all involved.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Previous experience in entertainment, talent booking, or related fields preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Passion for comedy and a good understanding of the comedy industry.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including the occasional evening and weekend, as needed.
- Ability to travel throughout Southern California to visit other Improv/Levity Live locations as needed.
