About the Role:
This role will be based out of our New York City showroom and will report to the Director of Operations. The Showroom Supervisor will oversee and assist with all showroom operations and will partner closely with the warehouse manager, production manager, and sales team on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact between Sales and Operations, clarifying and scheduling logistics, showings, and requests for service.
- Request and Provide COI and other documentation, ensuring on-site projects are completed.
- Supervise showroom staff, including training, scheduling, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Occasionally lead onsite deliveries, installations and showings.
- Oversee all day to day operations at the showroom including inventory management, relocation and transfer of inventory, physically moving and handling rugs with the team.
- Provide feedback to the Director of Operations and collaboratively develop best practices.
- Oversee Showroom and supply room maintenance, cleanliness, and organization.
- Oversee supply inventory and place all supply orders
- Coordinate and maintain relationships with 3rd party vendors and service providers.
- Assist sales team as needed.
Job Skills and Classifications:
- 3 plus years of experience leading and developing high-performance teams
- Experience in a retail environment preferred
- Hands-on leadership style
- Strategic and developmental mindset
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of technologies and digital tools
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and Filemaker
- G suite and MS Office skills
- Must be able to hear and speak effectively in English
- Spanish speaking a plus
- Must be physically able to assist with rug handling, which includes bending, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Driver’s License to commute to and from the showroom, off-site warehouse, client visits, and to drive company vans
Supervision: This role will directly supervise rug handlers and cleaner at a designated location.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
