Corporate Controller/ Renewable Energy

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to help manage the Corporate Accounting team. The Corporate Controller will report to the VP - Chief Accounting Officer and manage the day-to-day activities of their team, as well as manage special projects for the Controllership Organization.

You Will:
Manage day-to-day accounting close activities and account reconciliations process
Maintain GAAP compliance financials and books and records
Prepare project PnL to review budget vs. actuals
Prepare flux analyses on all B/S and I/S balances
Provide audit support for substantive testing
Understand and leverage NetSuite (ERP) to facilitate timely preparation of financial statements. Responsible for modifying and customizing the system to meet the needs of the company - this includes the ability build custom objects and leading the process of continuous system integration improvements
Lead and provide technical direction to the Accounting team
Work cross-functionally with other groups to foresee potential accounting issues and recommend practical solutions associated with contemplated business transactions
Drive process improvements and automation to improve efficiencies within the group such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Project Accounting/Reporting
Manage or assist with various special projects within the Controllership organization
Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies that can be applied across multiple business groups
Lead resolution on open accounting problems across the business and take initiative to address them
Manage multiple projects within set deadlines, month-end close deadlines
You Bring to the Team:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
CPA certification required
7+ years of related experience in both public accounting and industry experience
NetSuite experience preferred
Big 4 audit experience preferred
Experience leading and directing the deliverables of Accounting teams (preferred 5+ years of leadership experience)
Proven ability to deliver results and ensure direct reports stay focused on priorities when managing multiple competing projects
Ability to identify opportunities and issues, proactively act and follow through to resolve or capitalize on them
