The Mechanical Quality Control Inspector is responsible for the understanding and execution of E2E Mfg, LLC Corporation’s quality deployment processes, providing direct support to the Quality Manager. Candidate must have the ability to analyze drawing specifications to generate reports at various stages of manufacturing. A key responsibility is to perform First Article, In-process and Final Inspections on custom machined parts.
Quality Control Inspector’s Responsibilities:
- Preparing CMM inspection plans based on part geometry, tolerances, GD&T and functional requirements for optimum performance and accuracy.
- Creates and validates CMM programs for all reporting requirements. Will run CMM to assure accuracy and repeatability of CMM programs.
- CMM programming using Calypso , setup and operation of Zeiss CMM
- Reprograms existing programs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Program in-process dimensional checks, to include CMM inspection set-up and operation.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and quality personnel as needed on technical issues.
- Read and interpret manufacturing drawings (“Blueprints”)
- Read and interpret customer specification documents
- Inspect first off parts from manufacturing work centers
- Collect measurement data for use in First Article Inspection (FAI) reports
- Collect and provide data required for critical part Final Inspection Reports (FIRs)
- Perform roving in-process inspection of parts being run in Manufacturing
- Inspect in-house and out-sourced in-process production run parts
- Perform surface plate and comparator setups
- Fill out and file required reports, logs, databases, forms, and documents
- Perform additional related duties as assigned

The ideal candidate should have the following traits and abilities:
- CMM Programming, Calypso software
- Zeiss CMM
- Quantitative and Conceptual – Ability to cope with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Firm working knowledge of MS Office products: Excel, Word, etc.
- General knowledge or familiarity in operating a CMM
- Solid understanding of the concepts and specifications defined by ASME Y14.5 for GD&T
- SolidWorks experience
- Designing inspection fixtures for CMM
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
