Job Description:
Position Overview: The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating the daily schedules and activities of our service technicians. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Dispatcher will serve as the central point of contact between customers, technicians, and the management team to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling Appointments: Arrange and confirm service appointments, ensuring optimal scheduling to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Communicating with Customers: Handle customer inquiries, provide updates on service calls, and address any concerns or changes in scheduling.
- Monitoring and Tracking: Use scheduling software and GPS systems to monitor the location and status of field technicians, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, and other operational issues promptly and effectively.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of service calls, work orders, technician assignments, and customer interactions.
- Coordination: Liaise with the management team to report on daily operations, technician performance, and any issues that may impact service delivery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or business administration is a plus.
- Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role within a service-oriented company.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using scheduling software, GPS systems, and other relevant technology.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
