FOH- Bartender 1
SUMMARY: Our Bartender is an experience-qualified professional proficient with many aspects of the science and craft of bartending and FOH service operations capable of working with an FOH team to fulfill and exceed our guests’ expectations. The ideal candidate will be a person with high integrity, a bright, outgoing personality, an eye for detail, a passion for hospitality and mixology, a talent for building and keeping clientele, and a capable “can-do” team-oriented attitude of turning challenges into opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
➢ Execution of cocktail recipes to the highest standard
➢ Spirits portion control
➢ Communicating products offered to guests
➢ Ringing in, delivering guest, and collecting payment for guest orders
➢ Fulfillment of service standards through Steps of Service
➢ Application of commercial sanitary practices and procedures in maintaining a clean and sanitary bar guest and service areas including but not limited to: clearing bar and guest tables of unnecessary dishware, flatware, and glassware, ensuring guest seating is clean and sanitary, keeping floors free of debris and dust accumulation, daily and weekly “beautification” maintenance tasks, pre-opening and hourly guest restroom checks, counters, walls, shelves, sinks, basins, plumbing fixtures, dispensers, floors, and floor sinks; Washing and sanitation of glassware
➢ Stocking of product, condiments, flatware, glassware, and supplies at bar
➢ Identifying, recognizing, and ensuring product quality before guest exposure
➢ Coordinate with management in ensuring guest safety and comfort
➢ Responsible dispensation of alcohol to guests in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
➢ Help train staff to nominal proficiency in fulfillment of Steps of Service
➢ Help motivate co-workers in fulfillment of guest satisfaction
➢ Follow cleaning and sanitation schedules for FOH
➢ Communicate operational needs and procedures and control quality to management
➢ Communicate and coordinate with BOH team in fulfillment of guest satisfaction and team operations
➢ Identify and communicate equipment needs to management
➢ Help monitor and ensure guest satisfaction in the FOH
➢ Help mediate guests’ dissatisfaction as necessary and within empowerment boundaries
➢ Conduct financial closeouts for floor staff
➢ Any additional duties assigned by management in the course of mission fulfillment
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
➢ Able to lift up to 50 lbs., and move 170 lbs.
➢ High School Diploma or GED required
➢ Minimum 1 year hospitality service experience
➢ Familiarity with common commercial bar tools and equipment
➢ Basic working knowledge of beer, spirits, and wine
➢ ServSafe Certification current, completed, or renewed within 60 days
➢ Able to pass drug and background screening- no financially-related or property crime record
➢ Math skills appropriate to drink recipe preparation
➢ Team and self-motivational skills
➢ Able to follow instructions and fluently converse with guests in English
➢ TIPS or alcohol management certification current, completed or renewed within 45 days
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
