Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical Orthopedic Spine

Registered Nurse candidates for the Medical / Surgical Orthopedic Spine Unit will have the following job responsibilities:

As a registered nurse you will deliver patient-centered nursing care and participate in patient and family education.

Along with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, providers, and patient care support staff, you will create and implement a care plan to meet each patient's needs.

Utilizing computerized documentation systems, you will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.

As a part of the clinical team, you will coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

When dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers, you will maintain cultural and diversity awareness, and much more.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

Registered Nurse candidates for the Medical / Surgical Orthopedic Spine Unit must meet the following minimum job qualifications:
Education:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
License/Certifications:
-
Current Registered Nurse License in Florida or Current Multistate Compact License.

Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
Experience:
- 1 year of medical surgical experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
Additional Information:
1 year of LTAC/ surgery center/or clinic exp (assessment and IV skills are what they are looking for)-
Ortho exp is a plus

60% ortho 40% M/S general overflow

1:5 ratio

Days and Nights shifts open (7-7) no call/ rotating weekends

Salary: 2 years $25- $27 (5 y)- $30 (10 y)- $36 MAX (20 years)
