Maintenance Technicians- Digital Press
WestRock in Woodridge, IL is looking for Maintenance Technicians- Digital Press on our 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 2pm – 10pm).
General Purpose:
Our team of Maintenance Technicians- Digital Press work together providing machine set ups, fine tune settings for performance and supply technical support to operators throughout shift as required. Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs to ensure consistent performance and efficient operation of equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Understanding of inkjet/DOD imaging, affixing glue systems in addition to camera match vision systems and data matching of components. (Axode, Lake Image, Data Trac, Productive Solutions, Graph Tech, Atlantic Zeiser, Pack Smart, Kirk Rudy, Precision, Multi Feeder,Robatech, llapak, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand project instructions.
- Identify and verify product component number match.
- Perform affixing equipment set-up according to job specifications. (Graph Tech, Atlantic Zeiser, Precision, Redlines, Pack Smart etc)
- Ability to read and understand project instructions.

- Ensure machine is in a stable operating state before turning over to operator.
- Provide technical support to operators throughout project to ensure optimum run speeds and efficiency.
- Complete accurate documentation and data entry into systems as required.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization in all machine areas using 6S principles.
- Utilize proper lock out, tag out when performing repairs when required.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience troubleshooting industrial machine and equipment
- Experience working with hand tools to make minor adjustments to machines
- Understanding process flows of industrial machinery
- Experience setting up and adjusting vision tracking systems is a plus
- Experience setting up and maintaining uv cure systems and inkjets is a plus
- Have an understanding of sensors within a manufacturing setting.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Windows computer systems.
- Be able to input data into computer systems.
- Read and write instructions and correspondence in English.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
