**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our team. The Intake Coordinator will be responsible for managing patient intake processes and ensuring efficient operations within a medical office setting.
**Responsibilities:**
- Greet and assist patients providing excellent customer service
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar effectively
- Coordinate patient referrals to specialists as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner
- Utilize medical software such as HospiceMD, Waystar, DHCS, and NGSConnex for patient records management
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care delivery
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience in a medical office or urgent care setting
- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks and procedures
- Proficiency in using office equipment and phone systems
- Knowledge of HospiceMD, Waystar, DHCS, and NGSConnex or similar electronic health record systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing urgent matters effectively
- Understanding of medical terminology and procedures, particularly in the hospice setting
- Fluent in spanish is preferred
