Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. The ideal candidate will also have a great attitude, positivity, leadership, creativity, and will work well under pressure. We also have a zero tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol. Housing is available upon request.
Duties:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and execute menus
- Supervise food preparation and cooking activities
- Assist in managing kitchen staff and delegating tasks
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Contribute to menu planning and development
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding quality standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills for team management
- Proficiency in inventory control and cost management
- Familiarity with catering, banquet, and restaurant management practices
