- Position Overview (General Duties, Responsibilities and Reports)
- The general duties of the Grant Specialist is to seek grant and funding opportunities for the Community Free Clinic.
- The Grant Specialist reports directly to the Executive Director.
- Essential Job Functions (Define Tasks of Successful Performance)
- Clear understanding of the programs and operations of the Clinic.
- Research applicable funding opportunities and gain approval from Executive Director
- Gather appropriate data and information required.
- Ensure proper completion of the application process Maintain organization of all grant applications, budgets and applicable documents.
- Complete reporting as required by each grant guideline.
- Adhere to and support the policies as mandated in the Employee Manual and other regulation requirements.
- Non-Essential Job Functions (Other Tasks that are not specifically Related to Essential Job Functions)
- Communicate to Executive Director grant progress and completion.
- Obtain and maintain CPR and AED certification.
- Maintain and abide by OSHA and HIPAA as required.
- Maintain a Professional and Safe Atmosphere of the Clinic through sanitary practices, safety awareness and regulation compliance.
- Adhere to and support the policies as mandated in the Employee Manual and other regulation requirements.
- Record donations in QuickBooks; send automated thank you/tax receipts.
- Prepare the weekly deposit.
- Create solicitation mailers and quarterly newsletters for the public.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education / Work Experience Requirements (Training Required to Perform Essential Job Functions)
- A minimum education of High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of at least 3 years of grant writing experience is preferred.
- Good strong working knowledge of non-profit organizations.
- Skills and Knowledge Required
- Must be results oriented.
- Well organized and able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in data entry, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,

Pay: $41,351.51 - $49,799.67 per year
