We’re looking for a Journeyperson Electrician to install and maintain electrical power lines and circuits in residential or commercial buildings. You will ensure that wiring is safe and secure, as you install and connect electrical equipment, appliances, lighting and systems. As a journeyman electrician, you will be responsible for inspecting electrical equipment for safety. The goal is to make sure that electricity flows through the building properly to power lights, air conditioning, heating, appliances and other equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain and repair electrical components, circuits and systems that connect electrical energy to distribution devices and that control its flow and use, according to set standards. Install and maintain electrical wiring in residential buildings (houses, townhouses, condominiums), industrial buildings (warehouses, factories), commercial establishments (offices, medical buildings) and other structures.
- Determine wire size for installation.
- Provide maintenance for lighting fixtures.
- Install, repair and replace wiring of motorized equipment including motors, windings etc.
- Install and maintain power system equipment including switches, circuit breakers and fuses.
- Design electrical circuits for customers.
- Install transformers
