Position Summary: Calibrate, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot monitoring and measuring devices to ensure conformance to established calibration standards.
Position Responsibilities:
- Calibrate, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot monitoring and measuring devices using gauge masters and or outside services.
- Analyze inspection data for compliance. Develop and maintain work instructions, documentation of inspection results.
- Interpret blueprints and utilizes precision measuring equipment. Maintain and control monitoring and measuring devices using Gage Trak software.
- Perform assigned laboratory tests and experiments of a moderate degree of complexity, in a research or test laboratory environment and records/reports the results.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Detail oriented and team player.
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and GR&R (Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility knowledge)
- Blueprint reading, familiarity with measuring equipment. (e.g. surface measurements, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, digital indicators, depth gauges).
Preferred Skills and experience:
- CQE (Certified Quality Engineer)/Associates Degree preferred.
- Problem solving skills.
- Familiarity with quality systems (e.g. ISO9000, IATF16949, IOS17025).
Reporting to Position:
- Reports to Quality Manager, has no direct reports.
- Works closely with Purchasing, Product Managers, Shop personnel and Distribution Center.
