The Back End Web Developer works with UX/UI, Product Managers, IT, and the marketing team to design, develop, test, and deploy high-performance web experiences across the Parker eco-system. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with a passion for technology and a strong foundation in both front-end and back-end development to bring Innovation and vision while delivering a consistent and reliable web experience for all audiences. Experience with Jira administration, LMS Platforms, payment gateways and chat bots preferred. Marketing experience in SEO/SEM, Social Platforms, and Google products is a plus
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Web Development:
Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Implement modern web design principles to ensure a seamless and visually appealing user experience.
Collaborate with graphic designers and other team members to integrate visual and interactive elements into web experiences.
Provide POV on necessary plug-ins and ensure functionality.
Coding and Programming:
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate best practices into coding standards.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and IT developers to understand project requirements and deliver innovative high-quality solutions and seamless integrations.
Participate in project planning and provide technical insights to contribute to successful project outcomes.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough testing of websites to identify and address any bugs or issues.
Ensure websites are optimized for speed, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.
Maintain up to date plug-ins to reduce security vulnerabilities.
Continuous Learning:
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
EDUCATION/EXPERTISE:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred.
Four (4) or more years experience as a full stack web developer
Proven experience as a Full Stack Web Developer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
Solid understanding of back-end development using server-side languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python/Django, Ruby on Rails).
Experience with database systems (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks.
Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Visual acuity to use a keyboard and view a computer terminal. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand and walk.
Ability to occasionally lift, carry and/or move light to medium weight up to twelve (12) pounds and/or exert up to twelve (12) pounds of force.
