Job Purpose
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring the delivery system (including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and logistics) within the facility to ensure a competitive service advantage by maintaining a high degree of accuracy and customer service at a minimal cost. In addition, the Logistic Coordinator is also responsible for loading schemes that achieve the greatest efficiency possible while still meeting customer commitments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning and scheduling for delivery of materials and transport of products, respecting safety factors, costs, and schedule.
Monitor and forecast outbound and inbound transport, allocating resources to meet demand.
Lead communication with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments like dispatch and sales.
Handle claims for lost-in-transit or damaged goods, obtaining replacements.
Calculate and evaluate diverse factors to choose delivery and transport mechanisms.
Ensuring equipment is maintained and in good clean legal operating condition.
Working with managers effectively to execute the policies and goals of the organization.
Liaising with different departments such as suppliers, managers and so on to prevent any probable delay.
Supervising and inspiring team of workers and reviewing the work performance of subordinates.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related fields is preferred.
5+ years of successful of logistics management experience is required.
Excellent leadership, customer relations and interpersonal skills are required.
Ability to motivate team, manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
Strong planning and organization skills are required.
Ability to work across boundaries with parent companies for completion of work and projects
Provide effective leadership with innovative and proactive management techniques
Ability to meet tight, multiple deadlines and handle various projects and tasks
Ability to work flexible hours to meet business demands
Strong systems and data management skills required
