Position: K-2 Teacher
Regular duties and responsibilities include:
- Create and implement daily lesson plans that align with the developmental needs of Two-Year-Olds.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children to grow and learn.
- Must attend to the physical and emotional needs of the children including feeding, diapering, and comforting.
- Teach good habits, basic manners, and skills to the children.
- Encouraging the children to express themselves and engage in creative activities.
- Observe and document developmental progress of the children and communicate with parents/guardians regularly.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure continuity of care and education.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
- Follow all state and federal regulations regarding childcare and education.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in Two-Year-Old care and education.
- Utilizing technology to enhance instruction and create engaging lessons.
- Communicating with parents to inform them of their children’s progress, including written, phone, or face to face conferencing as needed.
- Participating in meaningful professional development opportunities as coordinated by the CCS Administrative Team
- Attending, supporting, or sponsoring extracurricular activities as assigned
- Ability to work with a team to create lesson plans, instructional activities, and other learning experiences for Two-Year-Olds.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Administrative Team
Physical requirements include:
- Sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to clearly communicate with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to travel to and from the workplace
Required qualifications include:
- Belief in Jesus Christ and status as saved Christian in accordance with the Christian faith and the mission of CCS
- High School Diploma or higher in Early Education
- Ability to effectively communicate (written, oral) in standard English
Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred not required
- Previous experience in field
