Life Coach
Overview:
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Life Coach to join our team. As a Life Skills Trainer, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and autism in acquiring essential life skills and fostering independence. If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of others and possess expertise in caregiving, behavior management, and working with individuals with special needs, we invite you to apply.
Duties:
- Implement individualized life skills training programs to meet the unique needs of each participant.
- Assist individuals in daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Provide guidance and support in developing social skills and promoting positive behaviors.
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and caregivers to ensure holistic care for participants.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively.
- Maintain accurate documentation of participant progress and any incidents.
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with participants, families, and team members.
- Ability to drive for participant transportation as needed.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures.
- Background in childcare or related fields is beneficial.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
