Job Summary: Flex Force Enterprises, a DZYNE company, has an immediate need for a talented Field Services Applications Engineer who will join our industry leading team at our location in Portland, OR. The Applications Engineer will maintain our demonstration pool and demonstrate our systems to interested Government end users around the world. This is a hands-on position integral to our company’s business development pre- and post-sale activities. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the shipment, setup and demonstrations of our ASP and Dronebuster product lines. You will also be expected to possess a thorough understanding of the employment of these systems in various applications. You will become an expert in these systems, consult on installation options, and train end users as required. Based at our Portland Oregon production facility, extensive travel, and customer interaction is to be expected.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- You are the primary custodian and maintainer of all demonstration assets used for end user demonstrations and industry trade shows.
- You will be responsible for shipping & receiving these assets for trade show and demo events around the world.
- Participate, as required in any factory acceptance and on-site acceptance testing.
- Support onsite installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks as required.
- Produce timely and detailed demo schedule with status of the movement of all equipment.
- Follow documented processes and support the development of documented processes. Create processes and SOPs if they do not exist.
- Cooperate with business development, engineering, and operations teams. Effectively share information across the organization.
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Address and solve problems with confidence.
- Train end users in the use of the system after delivery when a training course has been purchased.
- Support business development team in technical guidance.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Positive and creative attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to think clearly and logically through complex situations under pressure.
- Experience working with medium & heavy machine guns a plus.
- Experience working with drones and counter-drone systems a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Working remote is not feasible for this work.
- Ability to travel domestic and international.
Education and Experience:
- 6+ years of proven professional experience with bachelor’s degree in technical field;
- Military experience with weapons systems or counter-drone systems.
- A combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered.
Travel Requirements: International and domestic travel required up to 50%

Physical Demands
- Extended work outside on test ranges exposed to both high and low temperatures and all-weather conditions.

- Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine
- Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.
- May be performing physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors.
Salary: $70K - $90K Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
