Arbor Associates seeks an energetic and nurturing Early Education Teacher to join our agency. This individual would have the passion to work with kids and provide in their overall safety and care. They would be responsible for fostering a healthy and stable environment that appropriately meets young children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs within the classroom setting.

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement daily activities and curriculum that appropriately meet the needs of young children

Promote positive social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young children with specific attention to:
- Positive principles of play curriculum, and the supervision and care of children.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- The supervision of toileting, toilet training, and diapering procedures as needed.

Foster positive relationships, interactions, and communication between staff and parents, parents and their children, and children and their peers.

Promote professional self-development by attending appropriate teacher training sessions, workshops, conferences, and/or classes.

Contribute to the planning and evaluation of classroom activities and curriculum.

Modify classroom assignments as needed to ensure operational effectiveness and support co-workers and management.

Maintain regular attendance.

Teacher Requirements:

High school Diploma/GED. Bachelor's degree preferred

CPR/FA Certificated

EEC Certification required

Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak, read, and write English.

Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices. Previous professional teaching experience preferred.

Ability to work with children as individuals and in groups, and to work with adults, both parents and staff.
