Position Summary:
The Cardiometabolic Clinical Dietician will provide medical nutritional therapy (MNT) to patients enrolled in the Weight Loss and the Cardiometabolic Programs. This individual MUST have a strong understanding of diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and obesity. We desire a Clinical Dietician who has a complete understanding of GLP-1s. The Cardiometabolic Clinical Dietician will provide ongoing consultations to all patients. This individual must have excellent interpersonal skills as they will also teach classes and educate patients enrolled in the program. This role will also provide phone consultations and answer/return phone calls to/from patients with nutrition and dietary questions. Individual in this role are also expected to review nutritional value lab results and implement standing orders for IV-vitamin replacement therapy.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or closely related field of study
- Registered and licensed dietitian (RD)
- 2+ years of position-related experience in the care of weight and cardiometabolic patients
- Certified as Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management by the Commission on Dietetic Registration or willing to obtain within 1-2 years.

- EMR knowledge (eCW preferred)
- Proficient in health coaching and patient education with an ability to support patients in achieving their dietary goals
- In-depth knowledge of physiology to understand the impact of nutrition on the body
- Strong background in dietetics with the ability to create tailored meal plans
- Skilled in diagnostic evaluation to assess nutritional deficiencies and develop interventions and/or vitamin replacement therapy
- Excellent patient assessment skills with an ability to develop individualized dietary plans
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment while collaborating with all members on the cardiometabolic team
- Must be able to effectively interact and/or motivate patients with varying degrees of obesity while being sensitive to their need for self-respect and dignity

Pay: $55,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
