Union Beverage Company is currently seeking a Human Resource Assistant will support employee relations activities, and human resource administration functions while partnering with our warehouse, maintenance, shipping, and other departments to ensure a safe, productive, and employee focused environment.
If you have a passion for HR, are familiar with labor law and look to kickstart your career in the field, this is the place to be. Your role as an HR Assistant will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like organizing training and leaves and crafting HR policies. You will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. The goal is to assist the HR department’s operations run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives.
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
- Promote a positive employee relations environment through consistent application of open-door policy, working together policy and promoting open dialogue between employees and management.
- Partner with HR Manager in developing and coordinating employee activities such as Summer BBQ, Employee Appreciation events, etc.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 2-year college equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience Assistant with emphasis in employee relations
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to work independently, but a strong effective team player; commitment to delivering results; solutions oriented; superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- MUST be Bilingual.
