Plymouth is currently seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support the IT Core Services. The candidate must be capable of evaluating performance results, performing risk assessments, and recommending changes affecting the network. This is an onsite position with a possibility of hybrid after 6 months.
The candidate must be capable of planning and leading the testing, implementation, and maintenance of networking (LAN/WAN) technologies and devices.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Senior technical lead and support IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Assist in overseeing data center operation comprising Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, VMware, Servers, SAN, NAS, Switches, Firewalls etc.,
- Installs, configures, and upgrades systems and servers and assists with patching and upgrades.
- Assists with networking infrastructure (including switches, routers, and network security infrastructure), SAN devices, and other IT devices.
- Assist with troubleshooting and analyzing network traffic flows and application lockdowns in an enterprise environment.
- Maintains and continually improves IT systems and performs daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly checks and routine maintenance tasks such as version upgrades, configuration, operational tuning, and vendor patching for all network equipment per established policies and procedures.
- Work with vendors to resolve hardware and software OS failures to support network systems.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution to all escalated tickets.
- Perform capacity management, performance tuning, and operating system optimization with other team members as required.
- Perform technical evaluation and analysis to troubleshoot infrastructure hardware, software, or end-user services using appropriate diagnostic tools, log review, and administrative consoles to determine the root cause and remediation of service delivery issues or degradation.
- Is available for on-call support during off-hours, according to the on-call schedule.
- Responds to off-hours support and emergency calls within defined SLAs.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as needed and assigned.
Required work experience and skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a Sr. Systems Administrator.
- Work Experience (Years and Area): (5+) years - Must be well versed in Active Directory and VMware vSphere.
- Other desired network management experience includes two or more: LAN, WAN, WiFi, Backup solution, VMware vSphere, Horizon View, SAN, NAS, etc.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
- Microsoft Office 365 Administration and Windows Server Administration, including Group Policies.
- Management, installation, support, backup, maintenance, and procurement of all hardware and software
- Assess present network servers, operating systems, and security layer, ensuring efficient operation.
- Maintain and update documentation.
- Work directly with the Director of IT to conduct the cybersecurity risk assessment, implement IT security and incident response policies, monitor vulnerabilities, and identify new solutions to improve security further.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Required: Active Directory, VMware vCenter/vSphere, Office 365, DHCP/DNS, Windows servers 2012-2019, Clients: Win 7 – 11, Client-Server, Backup/Restore, Group Policy, Antivirus, Office 2016 - 2019, Active Directory, Printer/Scanner, etc.,,
Desired (Not Required): VMware Horizon View, VMware NSX, Palo Alto/ASA Firewall, F5, SAN/NAS, NetApp, iSCSI / Fiber Channel, VPN/PPTP/IPsec/L2TP, Cisco Switches, Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration testing.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
- A+, Network+
- Microsoft Certification (You should have at least one or are in the process of obtaining a Cert and must obtain the full Certification within 45 days from the start date)
- VMware Certification – Must be obtained within 90 days from the start date.
