We are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Department Manager with a Professional Engineer (PE) license specializing in Power Systems to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the implementation of electrical systems for a variety of projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervising and leading a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff within the E&I department. This includes assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring team members have the resources they need to perform their jobs effectively.
2. Developing and managing departmental budgets, monitoring expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
3. Lead the development of electrical systems, with a focus on power distribution, generation, and protection.
4. Perform detailed electrical engineering calculations and analysis, including load flow studies, short circuit analysis, and arc flash studies.
5. Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
7. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
8. Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing electrical systems and identify areas for improvement.
9. Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and documentation prepared by junior engineers and designers.
10. Participate in the commissioning and testing of electrical systems to ensure functionality and performance.
11. Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the field of electrical engineering.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering.
3. Minimum of [8] years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems.
4. Proficiency in electrical design software such as ETAP, SKM, or similar is a plus
5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8. Knowledge of renewable energy systems, such as solar and wind, is desirable.
