With rapidly expanding business and increasing demand for printing business, the company is seeking a senior accountant to Independently oversee general accounting operations, including controlling and verifying financial transactions, reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.
Job Description
- Independently oversee general accounting operations, including controlling and verifying financial transactions, reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting functions, including A/R, A/P, cash flow management, and financial reporting
- Ensures proper and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger in accordance with GAAP
- Responsible for the monthly general ledger close process including preparation of the journal entries, monthly accruals, and balance sheets reconciliations in the areas of responsibility.
- Prepares schedules, supporting documents, and variance analyses for management.
- Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the related calculations and processes.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Perform and/or review account reconciliations and other accounting analyses to support effective financial reporting.
- Coordinated with outside auditors and prepared documents for the annual audit, including year-end tax audits, workers' compensation audits, 401(k) audits, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 1-2 years of accounting experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Advanced knowledge of accounting functions and attention to detail
- Ability to extract, verify, and compile accounting information from multiple sources to complete work assignments
- Advanced ability to effectively present complex accounting and finance-related information verbally and in writing
- Advanced experience using financial transactions and systems, as well as related policy, accounting, and unique regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience in SAP FI and CO modules is a plus
