Formosa Insurance Agency was established in 1987 and since then, our company has grown to a full-service insurance agency. We services catering to the insurance needs of businesses, individuals, and families.
Formosa always works by customers' side during their hardest times and see to it that customers get fair treatment and compensation as well as prompt service for our insurance needs.
Now we are looking for an office assistant for personal insurance department.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Customize insurance coverage to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks
- Explain features, advantages, and disadvantages of various policies to promote sale of insurance policies
- Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and handling policy renewals
- Call on policyholders to deliver and explain policy, to analyze insurance program and suggest additions or changes, or to change beneficiaries
- Confer with clients to obtain provide information when claims are made on a policy
- Interview prospective clients obtain data about their financial resources and needs, the physical condition of the person or property to be insured, and to discuss any existing coverage
- Contact underwriter and submit forms to obtain binder coverage
- Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled, including any necessary property inspections and the completion of appropriate forms
- Calculate premiums and establish payment method.
- Attend meetings, seminars, and programs to learn about new products and services, learn new skills, and receive technical assistance in developing new accounts.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Good organization skills
- Self-motivated and fast learner
- Must be able to work independently and also thrive in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook
- Must be bilingual English & Chinese
- Insurance experience is a plus!
- OPT&CPT are welcome!
