This position is responsible for teaching assigned classes on a regularly scheduled basis.
Responsibilities and Tasks

Teach classes on a regularly scheduled basis as assigned.

Provide tutorial opportunities for students.

Assist Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education and/or Campus Executive Director in developing curriculum, preparing course materials and scheduling.

Assist Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education and/or Campus Executive Director in maintaining any equipment used by students.

Assist students in applying their didactic knowledge to practical experience. Limited Scope Radiologic Technology Instructor

Establish and maintain academic and attendance records for student files.

Submit attendance, grades, and all other required reports/documentation to the Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education and/or Campus Executive Director per established campus procedures.

Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and/or lab.

Notify Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education and/or Campus Executive Director of any current or potential problems which warrant his/her attention.

Complete performance-based teacher education modules as assigned by the Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education and/or Campus Executive Director or as needed based on outcomes of classroom observations, instructor evaluations, and student completed surveys

Actively utilize proven retention techniques approved by the school.

Coordinate Skills labs for the students under the guidance of the Program Coordinator.

Attend all faculty meetings and in-services as required.

Alert Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education and/or Campus Executive Director on the first day a student is absent.

Alert Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education and/or Campus Executive Director in writing of a student’s third absence.

Alert Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education and/or Campus Executive Director in writing of a student’s fifth absence.

On a daily basis, monitor and record attendance of all new students during the first three weeks of their first module of attendance and report attendance to the Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education and/or Campus Executive Director.

Any other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator, Director of Education or Campus Executive Director.
Education and/or Experience

Must have a minimum of three years related practical work experience in the subject area.

Must demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge and continuing study of the subject matter. Limited Scope Radiologic Technology Instructor

Must present a professional image and conduct him/herself in the same manner.

Must be able to effectively communicate with staff, faculty, and students.

Must work well under pressure, multi-task, and have good organizational skills.

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must possess excellent computer skills.

Ability to work/teach flexible hours including evenings.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

ARRT certification and current radiologic technologist licensure required. State accreditation, as applicable.
