High Level Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Maintenance organization to support KEI’s industrial business needs. As a technician, ensure that all production equipment is in top operating condition.
High Level Statement of the Role
Equipment Maintenance Technician Level 2 will lead and mentor Level 1 Technicians and be responsible for setup, adjustment, and Preventive Maintenance on all equipment with responsibility for safety, production and quality standards. The Level 2 Technician will also be responsible for the ESD and Calibration program.
High Level Roles & Responsibilities
- Assure safety standards are used which comply with all KETA guidelines
- Maintain proper Lockout/Tagout equipment, tools and procedures
- Assure company compliance to the KETA Calibration and ESD Program
- Provide manufacturing support when needed, this includes, but not limited to: calibration activities and equipment troubleshooting
- Programming of process equipment such as ASM, DEK, AOI, Koh Young, Soltec Wave solder, Wash, ERSA Selective Solder, and other Production machines
- Coordinate the ESD and calibration activities with outside services
- Routinely monitor ESD equipment using a variety of ESD measurement equipment
- Perform quarterly ESD audits to ensure compliance to procedures. Maintain all calibration records and track all ESD equipment through the Micromain database
- Level 2 Technician will perform ESD related training for new employees
- Participate in problem solving activities either independently or as a team
- Monitor production scheduling and equipment status to minimize negative impacts from maintenance operations
- Maintain spare parts inventory
- Maintain equipment to “as-advertised” standards
- Gain knowledge of using supplier data sheets to verify part markings and polarity on components
- Gain knowledge of using component supplier data sheets to verify proper PCB temperature for Wave and Reflow profiling
- Additional duties as assigned

- Micromain Maintenance Software knowledge a plus

- Can demonstrate understanding of machine schematics and manufacture drawings for part breakdowns
- Wave Rider and Oven Rider profiling equipment knowledge a plus
