THE ROLE:
UPLVL has an opening for a seasoned PR Account Manager to join some exciting accounts in the lifestyle, wellness, and business space. Do you enjoy health, wellness, and psychology? This role will lead day-to-day support and collaboration on a few accounts and interact daily with clients, their teams, and UPLVL staff. This role requires an individual who is seasoned in securing earned media exposure through cold pitching, leveraging relationships, queries, etc. They possess creativity and have an eye for a newsworthy angle. They are proactive in leveraging the news cycle for media opportunities, and strategic in securing long lead and short lead media. They understand how PR and the news cycle works, and are excited to land client wins. They are ambitious, resourceful and driven. They take the initiative to deliver beyond the expectation and are self-motivated and able to work without close supervision. This person above all is a team-player, leads with integrity, kindness, positivity, has a growth mindset and is an A+ team member.
The core focus of this role will include working with the account director on day-to-day pitching. In this role, you are expected to play a leading part in the implementation of campaigns, secure consistent and impactful earned media opportunities, coordinate interviews, communicate with the media and the client teams, take responsibility for your account and run with it. You must be capable of providing unique ideas and problem-solving pivots while working closely with the account director to develop and execute campaigns.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategize short-lead, long-lead, newsjacking, and all other earned media exposure opportunities for the client campaign(s)
- Secure consistent media coverage that supports the client’s brand equity goals
- Develop client messaging and create compelling brand narratives that uniquely position our clients in the media
- Develop written materials, including reports, pitches, presentations, analyses, coverage recaps, and general client correspondence
- Leverage existing relationships with media members to secure client exposure opportunities
- Monitor the news, what’s trending, social media trends, viral headlines, new shows, and newsjack our clients into the news cycle
- Monitor journalist queries daily, present them to clients in a timely manner, edit and submit them back to journalists as efficiently as possible
- Track your pitching and outreach progress using our project management and PR software
- Maintain updated organization of all interviews secured, scheduled, upcoming, rescheduling and published
- Efficiently coordinate press interviews with the client and the media contact, including preparing the client with necessary information, providing the media contact with assets, and overseeing the interview process
- Monitor for clients’ published interviews, confirm that all published information is correct
- Maintain supportive client relations, communications and retention
- Contribute to client meetings

- Prepare monthly progress reports for each client campaign
- Establish and build media relationships
- Maintain a positive, optimistic, supportive and uplifting sentiment with clients and members of the media as a representing member of UPLVL
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of public relations experience; experience working with clients in the business lifestyle, and wellness industries; thought-leadership a plus
- Proven experience securing impactful earned media coverage across online, broadcast and podcast channels in the lifestyle, wellness, or business space
- An understanding of the news cycle, editorial calendars, digital/print/broadcast angles, and podcast media
- Experience working on PR campaigns for Founders, Experts and/or Authors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across a range of mediums (bios, pitches, media materials, presentations, messaging, etc.)
- Strong presentation skills - presenting PR ideas, campaign updates, analytics, etc. to the internal team and external clients
- Highly organized, staying on top of all communications, scheduling, bookings and deadlines
- Comfortable working under tight media deadlines
- Creativity in bringing ideas to the table that best serve our clients, the media, and the UPLVL company
- Confidence in taking initiative and communication
- Familiarity with: : Propel, ClickUp, Qwoted, Connectively [Formerly HARO], Google Workspace, ChatGPT (a plus).
- Previous experience tracking metrics including but not limited to UVPM, viewership, domain ranking, etc.
