Description:
Summary
Responsibility of Quality Control Technician is to ensure our plastics and print products meet all the quality standards. The role will work closely with production staff to identify quality issues, perform quality inspections, documentation, identify defects and implement preventive measures.
Requirements:
Minimal Qualifications/ Preferences

High School diploma or GED equivalent

Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.

Strong Analytical, Technical, Problem Solving, and Communication Skills

Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment with exposure to temperature variations and excessive noise levels
-
Ability to stand for long periods of time and move over/under and around production equipment safely.
Job Specific Qualifications/Responsibilities
-
Perform quality inspections and tests on plastic cups/bottles including visual, and dimensional measurements following the SOPs that are in place.

Record and document inspections including non-conformances and corrective actions.

Enforce Quality, Safety, Food Safety and Environmental standards.

Communicate equipment, Quality, Safety, Environmental, Food Safety problems to Supervisor.

Ensures all paperwork is completed and legible.

Ensures neat and orderly work area.

Review schedule and verify product and materials used.
-
Knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
-
Experience with inspection tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators.

Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast pace environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively.

Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

Support fellow associates to operate safely and efficiently.

Adhere to company standards, policies, and procedures as well as OSHA/FSSC standards.

Comply with all Quality, Food Safety, GMP and HACCP requirements, programs and concepts.

Comply with Environmental compliance, energy savings, and recycling requirements.

Comply with Safety requirements including but not limited to PPE, LOTO, Emergency Preparedness, machine guarding and safety rules.
