Job Description: 32mm Frameless Cabinet Draftsman
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Draftsman to join our team, specializing in the design and drafting of 32mm frameless cabinets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cabinetry design, a strong proficiency in CAD software, and a deep understanding of the 32mm cabinet construction system. This role is essential for translating customer requirements and design concepts into precise technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting and Design: Create detailed technical drawings and 3D models of 32mm frameless cabinets using Mozaik CAD software.
Blueprint Preparation: Develop comprehensive blueprints, assembly instructions, and material lists for cabinet manufacturing.
Design Interpretation: Interpret and convert customer design specifications and requirements into accurate and functional cabinet designs.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and company quality specifications, including precise measurements and construction details.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, CNC programmers, and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and align with manufacturing capabilities.
Revisions: Update and revise drawings as necessary, based on feedback from team members, customers, and production outcomes.
Documentation: Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to the production team during the manufacturing process.
Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree or technical certification in Drafting, Design, Architecture, or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in cabinetry design or a similar drafting role, with specific experience in 32mm frameless cabinet systems required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Mozaik CAD software and Maestro CNC software.
Knowledge: Thorough understanding of 32mm system cabinetry, frameless cabinet construction techniques, and woodworking materials.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address design challenges and optimize manufacturing processes.
Communication: Effective communication skills for collaboration with various teams and for clearly conveying design specifications.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for prolonged periods while working on a computer.
Occasional visits to the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery parts.
Work Environment
This position is primarily office-based, with occasional exposure to the manufacturing environment.
Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime required to meet project deadlines.
