Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Manager to lead our team of field service technicians and oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, including air conditioning and refrigeration, and have a strong background in mechanical knowledge and equipment repair. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy building and maintaining a team, and who are passionate about ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Lead and manage a team of HVAC service technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
- Conduct on-site evaluations and assessments to identify and resolve issues with HVAC systems, using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools as needed.
- Develop and implement effective maintenance and repair strategies to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with design and build teams to ensure that new HVAC systems are designed and installed in a way that is both functional and cost-effective.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring that the team has the materials needed to complete their work efficiently.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of HVAC service technicians and provide feedback and coaching to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in the development of the company's budget and ensure that the HVAC department is operating within budget constraints.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or completion of trade program or technical school. A college degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC service, commercial construction, or a related industry.
- 3-5+ years of people management experience.
- Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated experience managing a diverse and multi-discipline workforce.
- Proficient in coaching, training, developing, and building a team.
- Proficient in managing time, delegating assignments, and following through to ensure good results.
- Knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC principles and practices, including service hour estimation, labor forecasting, and multiple disciplines involved in area of responsibility.
- Proficiency in understanding and managing P&L.
- Demonstrated business acumen
- Proficiency in managing multiple assignments, setting and balancing competing priorities with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to solve problems and apply good judgment.
- Excellent verbal/nonverbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong customer service skills, including an ability to proactively address customer issues and concerns and the ability to forge strong working relationships with customers.
- Knowledge of job site safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices, and safety rule compliance.
- Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
- Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, Work Order/Dispatch Software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, etc.
- Good driving record.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
