As an Interior Designer I, you will need to assist, in a self-directed manner, with all aspects of the interior design process. This includes preparation of presentation materials, schematic design, design development, contract documents, renderings, and construction administration activities; all to be completed within established budget, schedule, site and program requirements. You will be expected to combine your exceptional design skills with technical rigor to create exciting and functional interiors for high-profile clients. You will be expected to work on multiple projects, under deadlines, while maintaining effective communication and quality control.

Performs tasks according to specific guidelines under general supervision of Senior Designers

Collaborates with outside product vendors on product performance, specifications and appropriateness of use

Executes small tasks as part of larger assignments

Implements design into CAD format (AutoCAD or Revit) and presentation materials

Assists in day-to-day coordination efforts required to produce a set of Construction Documents and FF&E Specifications; namely the research, communication and documentation required to execute the project effectively

May instruct Design Interns on project specific tasks or deadline assignments.

Possesses an understanding of design principals and theory

Displays early creative interior design skills including concept development, hand sketching, and selection of colors, materials, finishes and furniture

Overall knowledge of design process, including design documentation, FF&E specifications, colors and materials

Knowledge of construction documentation and FF&E specification writing

Proficient in AutoCAD or Revit, Photoshop, and InDesign

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook

Knowledge of SketchUp and Enscape is desirable

Knowledge of furniture design and FF&E specification writing

0-4 years of experience

Bachelor/Master's degree from an accredited Interior Design/Architecture program

Degrees must come from a CIDA-accredited Interior Design program or NAAB-accredited Architecture program
