COUNTRY Financial is seeking a dynamic experienced, highly motivated Scrum Master to join the Commercial & Agribusiness Insurance Digital team. As a member of the digital project team, you will be a liaison with other technology development teams and business units during the development and implementation of the new Guidewire PolicyCenter policy administration system supporting all farm and commercial lines of business. This key role will lead a team comprised of business partners and technology team members from COUNTRY Financial, a System Integrator and Software Vendor to deliver a digital experience to agents and clients using lead edge technology.
This position allows full-time remote work.
How does a Scrum Master make an impact?
- Creates, manages and executes project/program plans.
- Builds strong working relationships with team members, vendors/contractors, business and ITS partners to aide in effective execution.
- Ensures the establishment of scope and priorities, management of risks/issues/dependencies, implementation of solutions, and change management activities.
- Ability to manage and track budget and budget variance.

Digital first thinking with experience modernizing systems and platforms to create best in class customer experiences.
Excellent organization and communications skills.
Experience with Commercial Lines Property/Casualty insurance products.
Knowledgeable of Guidewire’s PolicyCenter policy administration system.
Experience using Rally.
Strong skills hosting and facilitating all Agile ceremonies including, stand-up, planning, grooming and retro meetings.
Strong ability to communicate team's progress to all stakeholders. This includes maintaining a visible product backlog and burn-down chart.
Responsible for coaching the team on Scrum principles and practices. This includes helping the team to self-organize, and to continuously improve their processes.
Facilitate the team for better creativity and improve the efficiency of the development team.
Must have problem solving, risk and issue management skills.
Ability of Identifying and removing any impediments that may be preventing the team from delivering value.
Monitoring and reporting on project progress and performance.
Able to do quality control throughout development, maintain expected standards by performing quality/health checks.
Ability to adapt project scheduled and targets as needed due to changes in project requirements or funding.
Develop long- and short-term plans, including setting milestones and adhering to deadlines.
Able to delegate and assign tasks to team members based on their expertise and position within the project.
Typically requires 7 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.

Salary target: $90,000-$125,000 +annual incentive bonus. The salary target represents the expected salary range of candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.
