Job Summary:
Performs inspection and packaging of plastic parts. Adheres to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.

Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
-
Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
-
Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
-
Conducts quality control checks.
-
Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
-
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
-
Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
-
Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
-
Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
-
Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
-
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.

Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
-
Maintains inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels, placing and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.

Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
-
Visually inspects parts for defects and communicates to quality department or supervisor any quality issues.

Follows procedures, work instructions, and operations manuals.
-
Preforms rework as necessary.
-
Performs visual cosmetic inspections and identifies non-conforming products.
-
Responsible for completing all required documentation with accuracy.

Responsible for keeping the assigned work area well organized, clean and neat.
-
Adheres to machine schedule as directed from Supervisor or Team Lead.

Can successfully run press with little help and achieve a scrap rate of no more than 2% within a 60 period.

Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small

Color vision may be required if your company makes electrical and electronic products that include color-coded wiring

Ability to work with coworkers in a team environment.

Ability to perform basic reading comprehension

Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Ability to use two and four wheeled hand trucks, pallet jacks.

Completion of "Fundamentals of Injection Molding" Paulson Training within sixty (60) days of assignment.

Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions.

Ability to work overtime as required.

Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.
Education and Experience:
-
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
-
0-6 months manufacturing experience
Physical Requirements:
-
Must be able to stand entire shift (8+ hrs.).
-
Lifts and carries boxes (up to 50lbs.) to pallets for removal to shipping or storage. On occasion may use pallet jack to move pallets of boxes or totes.

Requires manual dexterity.
-
Moderate physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment.
-
Frequently moves from waist level to floor level.
