Duties:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care and treatment
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring
- Administer medications under the supervision of a healthcare professional
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as wound dressing and suture removal
- Assist with patient education and counseling
- Maintain medical records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling billing and coding tasks
Requirements:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
- Proficiency in medical administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and coding
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred
- Ability to perform basic laboratory tests and operate medical equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide quality patient service
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate medical records
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
