Child & Family Services is looking for a full-time, 35 hours/week Regional Manager for our Post Adoption program, Adoption Journeys. This individual is responsible for the leadership and overall management of the Waltham regional office for Adoption Journeys. The Regional Manager will also carry a small case load and assist with the delivery of clinical services, including support groups and budgetary needs.
Qualifications:
- Masters’ Degree in social work or in a related field preferred; Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field with three years of experience can be substituted for a Master's degree
- Supervisory experience required
- Previous experience in family systems and/or adoption work preferred; experience in a brief treatment model of home-based family centered supports is desirable
- Ability to develop community resources and collaborative working relationships with others agencies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that requires nights and weekends for support groups and program events
Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities are not meant to be all inclusive and may be adjusted to meet the agency’s needs.
- Develop a Regional Response Team within their region to provide home-based, intensive family stabilization services to families formed through adoption and guardianship. Supports and services to be provided within a brief treatment, social casework model
- Programmatic and clinical supervision of program staff
- Responsible for managing monthly expenditures, petty cash and monitoring the Respite budget.
- Oversight of staff training and of the Journeys’ database of record keeping
- Assist Journeys’ Management with the marketing of the program in their region
- Assist Journeys’ Management with the development of community resource guides
- Work with Journeys’ Management to coordinate the availability and reimbursement of respite resources and services
- Work with Journeys’ Management, to develop a plan for the training of key professionals and organizations in adoption competent services
- Participate in statewide meetings, including monthly Managers Meeting, All-Staff Meetings with Journeys’ Management and other meetings as required.
- Develop and maintain a current adoption related resource directory, which will include but not be limited to a listing of “adoption competent therapists” in their region
- Perform other required duties & responsibilities, as assigned
