Job Title: Construction Laborer
Job Overview:
Reputable small central Indiana construction company, Summit Construction and Remodeling, LLC, is seeking general construction/remodeling/carpentry workers. If you are either, one, driven and passionate about a long-term career in construction/remodeling, or two, interested in a different career path, but need short-term/temporary employment to help you on your journey, then Summit might be the perfect fit for you.
Our projects encompass every facet of the residential construction and remodeling industry. Our coverage area is central Indiana with a large majority of our business occurring in Hamilton and Boone counties and the greater Indianapolis area. While our “go-to” might be described as residential bathroom and kitchen remodeling, we have completed every type of project that exists within a residential home (interior, exterior and additions).
What Summit will expect from you:
· Experience: Minimum 1 year of construction/remodeling work experience preferred, OR, a Basic Proficiency with construction tools and materials handling, a positive desire to learn and the willingness to engage in physical manual labor.
· Education:
o Trade School/College Associate/Bachelor Degree in Construction/Skilled Tradesman discipline (Preferred);
o High School Diploma or equivalent (Required); and,
o Summer Employment (current HS or College attendance Required)
· Work Location:
o Project job site locations all around central Indiana; and,
o Projects can start/end on a daily, weekly, monthly or multiple-monthly basis depending on the size/scope of the project (which changes work location).
· Licenses/Certifications:
o Must have a Driver’s License; and,
o Must be capable of transporting yourself to/from job sites.
· Additional Hiring Eligibility Requirements:
o Drug-test screening (negative results);
o Criminal Background check; and,
o Interview with Summit.
· Report to Foreman/Project Supervisor and provide general labor on construction/remodeling projects as directed.

· In all types of construction materials, demonstrate a level of knowledge (identifying by name; knowing physical properties and uses) and skill (handling, physically moving, modifying using tools, incorporating into project); OR, if no knowledge or skill, demonstrate the capability, willingness and discipline to learn.
· In using construction/remodeling tools and equipment, demonstrate a level of knowledge (identifying by name; knowing physical properties and uses) and skill (handling, physically moving, mastering functional capabilities); OR, if no knowledge or skill, demonstrate the capability, willingness and discipline to learn.
· Demonstrate a level of knowledge and skill in construction/remodeling protocols and methods; OR, if no knowledge or skill, demonstrate the capability, willingness and discipline to learn.
What you will expect from Summit:
· Job Type: Full Time, Part Time, or Summer (student)
· Schedule: Monday – Friday; minimum 8 hours/day; between 7:30 am – 6pm; overtime available upon approval.
· Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour; hourly pay rate commensurate with level of construction/remodeling knowledge, skills and experience.
