Cannonball and Draft at Belmont Park create a good time for locals and tourists year round and are looking for new team members to join our beach side venues.
As a bartender you will be responsible for creating an engaging experience while providing attentive and friendly service to all Belmont Parks Restaurants patrons. Must have extensive knowledge of different types of beer, wine, and liquor, and know how to mix a variety of specialty beverages.
What will you do:
- Check identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers prior to serving alcoholic beverages.
- Promote and up-sell menu items, unique beverages, and other specials/promotions following the Belmont Park’s Steps of Service.
- Take beverage orders from customers or wait staff and serves drinks as requested.
- Mix ingredients to prepare drinks, serve draft beer, bottled beer, wine and liquor according to the recipe and restaurant specifications.
- Properly prepare beverages including the use of the shot jigger or shot glass, recipe compliance, proper glassware and garnishes.
- Educate customers on how to sample beer while answering questions about color, clarity, carbonation, aroma, mouthfeel/body, flavors, and finish.
- Change kegs when beers run out and remove empty kegs from cold room.
- Maintain a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with the Alcohol Beverage Control laws and Company policies.
- Monitor all patrons for alcohol intake to appropriate levels, and contacts management at the first indication of an inebriated patron.
- Report all equipment problems, bar maintenance issues, violations or substandard practices to your supervisor immediately upon encountering a problem.
- Accurately operate the POS system and ensure cash is counted correctly and credit card receipts are properly signed and secured.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required by management.

What are the requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Two years bartending experience required combined with food & beverage service experience.
- Preferred knowledge of craft beer.
- Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to perform effectively as a team player.
- Must be organized and self-motivated.
