Job Print Machine Operator
Weekend Shifts
Responsibilities:
Performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on print machine and ancillary equipment
- Inspecting product to specifications and making adjustments, or changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications
- Reads and interprets artwork and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.
- Ability to learn commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within the print field
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Has demonstrated the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
- Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
- Has demonstrated the ability to multi-task and operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and other plant staff to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
- Housekeeping and sanitation as defined by plant leadership
Skills & proficiencies:
- Experience as a digital print machine operator
- Knowledge of production procedures
- Ability to read artwork, schematics and manuals
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork
- Handle lift equipment and ideally operate tractor
- Works Independently
- Ability to Multi-task
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour
