Your Responsibilities
As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), your primary responsibilities include providing clinical, educational and clerical support services in the Mental Health Center. In addition, you will

Complete paperwork as requested by nurses

Check the medication refill line and coordinate refill requests from clients
-
Accurately document observations and interventions in client record when necessary and report to the appropriate medical staff (prescriber or RN)
-
Obtain vital signs, pharmacies, allergies, medical conditions, and pre-existing medications
-
Obtain prior authorization forms and complete demographic information to give to nurses and document approvals into the EHR
-
Assist in inventory and ordering/storing of supplies
-
Other duties as assigned
What You Need
- Graduate from an accredited program for Medical Assistants

Medical Assistant Certification
-
Proficient in interviewing skills and in client lab testing
-
Ability to document nursing assessment and interventions in patient records
