Phoenix Heart, PLLC is looking for a Full time Radiology Technologist (RT) with Cath Lab and Peripheral Interventional experience for our Officed Based Lab.
Under general supervision, the candidate will provide technical support and assistance to the physician during percutaneous peripheral vascular procedures and diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization. The candidate will be expected to perform Radiographic duties during vascular catheterizations using clinical knowledge, technical skills, and professional judgment in accordance with professional and departmental standards and protocols. Candidate will provide intra- and post-procedural instruction to patients. The candidate will prepare and maintains all pertinent information related to procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists Physician with performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Maintains operational knowledge of Cath Lab equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Assists with equipment quality control and inventory management.
- Provides all appropriate services to safely and efficiently complete patient’s procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of cardiac concepts and clinical practices.
- Possesses the knowledge & skills level of basic and complex percutaneous peripheral interventions.
- Responsible for patient safety and must be able to recognize cardiac arrhythmias and respond according to emergency protocols, operate external cardiac pacemaker and defibrillator.
- Intervenes with appropriate therapy in the event of cardiac emergencies. •
- Maintains, troubleshoots and operates fluoroscopy equipment to ensure operability and safety.
- Calibrates equipment and performs routine preventive maintenance procedures. •
- Properly handles and processes images to include storage and transfer.
- Follows radiation safety policies
- Practices radiation safety procedures.
Required Skills:
- Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Required Experience · 2 years Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology experience
