Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical, Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team on a per-diem basis , you will demonstrate versatility by providing comprehensive care across a wide spectrum of medical situations. This position offers the opportunity for an immediate start with the potential for other per-diem opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting to the department, identifying emergent conditions and initiating appropriate interventions.
- Triage: Prioritize patient needs based on acuity levels, effectively managing resources to ensure timely and efficient care delivery.
- Treatment: Administer medications, perform procedures, and implement interventions as ordered by physicians, maintaining adherence to established protocols and standards of care.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff, to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Patient Education: Provide education to patients and families regarding their conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions, promoting understanding and self-management.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Critical Thinking: Exercise sound clinical judgment and critical thinking skills in emergent situations, adapting to changing patient conditions and priorities.
- Emergency Preparedness: Demonstrate proficiency in emergency response protocols, participating in drills and training exercises to ensure readiness for various scenarios.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active RN license in Washington or Compact License; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications preferred.
- Experience: Experience and proficiency in managing a diverse range of medical emergencies; Travel Nursing a plus!
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills; excellent communication and collaboration abilities; proficiency in EMR systems.
- Versatility: Ability to adapt to diverse patient populations and emergency scenarios, demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness in providing care.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a supportive and cohesive work environment.
